Acropora palmata:

As a result of a dramatic decline in the numbers of colonies, in 2004 Acropora palmata and Acropora cervicornis were designated threatened species under the Endangered Species Act. Scientists from the SRG have begun to examine the natural history of A. palmata in order to support the species recovery.
